Hold up! Before you read that title and get upset, just follow me for a moment.
What is faith to you?
If you think about it, you can't have faith without some sort or hardship, adversity, or unknown. It's easy to say, "I have faith", but do you have faith because you already know something will work out or is it truly blind faith? Are you believing in the unseen and the unknown?
The last month has opened my eyes to the true meaning of faith.
Faith means leaving your job of over a decade because you believe that God is leading you in a different direction.
Faith is walking away with nothing else lined up.
Faith is believing that God will provide and bills will be paid when you have no idea how that is going to happen.
That of those statements lead me to the next part...
Faith is crazy.
Some might argue that the word I should be using is crazy, not faith. Let's face it, sometimes I feel that way, but by stepping out in faith, I've never felt so close to God. I've never felt more in my heart that I'm doing exactly what He wants me to do.
I've heard many stories of people that were not given much time to live, but they had faith. The doctors thought they were crazy for having faith because it defied science and the odds, but God saw the faith of His people and cured them to live a life for Him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that God heals everyone and that's not the point of this comparison. The point is to agree that faith is (or may seem) crazy to others.
Some might read the sentences I wrote above as...
Crazy means leaving your job of over a decade because you believe that God is leading you in a different direction.
Crazy is walking away with nothing else lined up.
Crazy is believing that God will provide and bills will be paid when you have no idea how that is going to happen.
If having faith in the Heavenly Father, makes me crazy, I want to be as crazy as they come! I want to be so crazy that no one will be crazy enough to think that my God will do the things I'm crazy enough to think He will do.
Faith is crazy.
By having faith you may be called crazy.
But the things our God can do are crazier.
I urge you to be a little crazy. Have faith. Real faith in the unseen and the unknown. Listen to God and trust His will for your life. I pray that you too will become free and humble (and a little crazy!)Looking for inspiration or just want to follow along with my journey? Subscribe to my email list and see the posts first.
