Free and Humble

MY STORY Some may consider the story of losing my job private, and while I agree that in some ways it's a private matter, it is WHY I did what I did (listened to God) and what comes next ( finding my purpose with God) that is most important. God told me to step out in faith... God told me to be more righteous... God told me to be a light! God used my current circumstance to redirect my path. My story is less about why I lost my job and more about God's timing and His direction for my life.  As I was scrolling through Instagram recently, I read a quote that BuildingHerself posted. It read, "Who you are is God's gift to you. What you become is your gift to God." I want to become exactly what God intended me to be. I also want to be a light for Him and encourage others to live to their full (Godly) potential.  We are here on this earth for such a short time. Did God create you to just work your life away for someone else, to run the kids to sports, to worry about...

Hold up! Before you read that title and get upset, just follow me for a moment. What is faith to you? If you think about it, you can't have faith without some sort or hardship, adversity, or unknown. It's easy to say, "I have faith", but do you have faith because you already know something will work out or is it truly blind faith? Are you believing in the unseen and the unknown? The last month has opened my eyes to the true meaning of faith.  Faith means leaving your job of over a decade because you believe that God is leading you in a different direction.  Faith is walking away with nothing else lined up.  Faith is believing that God will provide and bills will be paid when you have no idea how that is going to happen.  That of those statements lead me to the next part... Faith is crazy. Some might argue that the word I should be using is crazy, not faith. Let's face it, sometimes I feel that way, but by stepping out in faith, I've never felt so close to...
